Synopsis: Zoe, a Valedictorian desperate to escape the dead-ends of her rural town, lies to her status-obsessed Mom about getting into college. Mysterious visions force Zoe to confront the fact that she’s losing herself to get what she thinks she wants.
Hannah Martinez
Bio:
Hannah Martinez is a Latina and a Tejana filmmaker from South Texas. Hannah enjoys writing film and television scripts, directing, producing, and working as a production designer and set dresser. She is currently based in Corpus Christi, Tx. Hannah earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Film and Media Studies from Carnegie Mellon University in 2019. She recently completed her MFA in Film Media Production from the University of Texas at Austin. While in graduate school, Hannah completed her first short film, House. House has won multiple awards and garnered a streaming deal with Red Coral Universe. She also completed her thesis film, Zoe, which is a recipient of the CRC Family Charitable Scholarship for Excellence in Film and is currently in distribution.
