Synopsis:

A group of veterans embark on a challenging climb up Mount Kilimanjaro. As they push their bodies to the brink, they also confront the emotional and mental wounds from years of serving in intense combat zones and trying to reintegrate into society. Every step is a physical and emotional struggle, testing their resilience and determination until they finally reach the summit. By sharing their journey, they shine a light on several non-profit organizations that have played a crucial role in aiding their healing process. And perhaps, by doing so, they can reach out to others who may also be in need of support.


Joshua Gallas

Bio:

A native of Arlington, TX, with a Masters in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington, Joshua has over a decade of experience creatingcommercials, documentaries, features, and short films. As an EMMY Award-winning director, much of his storytelling is inspired by thecommunities he has been immersed in during his world travels, such as Turkey, Nepal, Uganda, Brazil, and Kyrgyzstan. His work has wonnumerous awards, including several Gold ADDYs and a Regional EMMY for best-branded content. His narrative films and screenplays have beenat multiple Oscar, BAFTA, and Canadian Screen Qualifying festivals, such as Indy Shorts, Dallas International Film Festival, and Carmarthen BayFilm Festival. In Joshua’s approach, he strives for his work to not inflict a forced opinion but to provide a perspective not yet explore.
