Synopsis:

Ines, a baker with a thriving home business, has all the ingredients for success - except the confidence to open her own storefront. Her fiery aunt Amalia pushes her to dream bigger and take more risks. Torn between fear and ambition, Ines expresses her inner turmoil through song, revealing the hopes and hunger for something more. When tragedy strikes, she must decide if she’s ready to rise and claim the life she’s always imagined.

Vanessa Rae Lerma is a producer and director from San Antonio, TX, and co-owner of Screenville Films. Her directing work spans the course of over two decades. Some notable work includes: Into the Woods (Joci Award-Best Musical), The Mesquite Tree (ATAC Award), and Most Likely To (Silver Telly & Best Series Director), among other awards for producing additional film and commercial projects. With a strong background in theatre, from San Antonio to New York City, Vanessa brings a unique storytelling perspective and creative expertise to her work in film, which highlights the Latino culture in San Antonio.
