Bio:

Mr. David Li studied at a School for Arts in China in his early years. He became acquainted with film and television arts at a young age. After immigrating to Canada, Mr. Li created multiple feature films with local professionals that reflected the lives of local Chinese as well as in contemporary China. In 2012, David Li became a founding member of Gui Zhen Films and Performing Arts. Between 2012 and 2016, Mr. Li led the team to produce numerous feature films, short films and public service announcements. In 2017, David Li joined New Century Films. He wrote the screenplay and directed the first film for New Century Film, <Code of Revelation>. This film won the Grand Prize Award at the 2018 Canada International Film Festival. To date, Director Li's works have won over 60 awards at international film festivals. Mr. David Li believes, “The human lifespan is short, passing by in a matter of decades. One can have many choices in life – one can choose to pursue fame, fortune, status, live a comfortable life, or seek a way to truly elevate oneself beyond the materialistic gains.” Throughout his 10+ years producing films, Director Li has devoted his works to messages that enlighten people. Remaining true to divinely-inspired aesthetics, his films have been lauded as a fresh, new direction in the film industry. Director Li’s goal is that through the exploration of divinely-inspired arts and culture, he can contribute to a renewal of traditional aesthetics in the film industry, as well as a return to being vehicles of hope

Our movie team, New Century Films, has produced 3 feature films and numerous shorts since inception and won over one hundred awards from film festivals around the world, including the Grand Prize Award at the 2018 Canada International Film Festival and Bronze Award at the 2020 WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.

<Silver Screen Dreams> is centred around Meiyue Lin, a massively successful movie star praised for her performance and professionalism. The lost of her dream role send her crashing back to reality, and a sudden accident leaves her paralyzed. After ten years of treatment to no avail, she slowly accepts the reality. While in her weakened state and at her most vulnerable, a miraculous book changed her life and melted the resentment in her heart. As her devotion to film carries on through her husband and daughter, fate has more surprises for Lin. reconciles with people from her past, she rediscover hope and realizes the truth purpose of life.
