Statement:

My father was a shy, introverted boy growing up. Fortunately, he had an aunt who, in her time, was a liberated, open-minded and forward-thinking woman. The parallels between their relationship and the one held by Luke and Sally were strikingly similar as told in this wonderful, award-winning script, by writer/producer Heather Kennedy. Sadly, not long after reading MY DEAR AUNT SALLY, my beloved Great Aunt Rose passed away at age 96. At that point, in no uncertain terms, I knew I had to direct this story to life.
