Synopsis:
An incredulous reporter finds herself increasingly unsettled as she experiences unexplainable occurrences that seem to be linked to a popular Urban Legend.
Silvia Vera
Bio:
Silvia Vera was born in Mexico. She has a bachelor's degree in theater, specializing in playwriting, and a master's in cinematographic studies at the Universidad Veracruzana. She also holds an MFA in Creative Writing and a graduate degree in Mexican-American Studies from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley Campus.
She is certified as a theater/Audiovisual media educator and teacher in the United States by ACT-RGV. She is an active member of the Latino Theatre Initiative of the University of Texas UTRGV, as well as a former traveling member of the poetic group WAKE UP, with whom she has traveled to different places, both in Texas and in New Mexico, Arizona, Louisiana, Missouri, New York, London, Colombia, and Peru. She has been a panelist at various Mexican-American studies conferences, such as Festiba, Hestec, NACCS, and MALCS. She has received several creative stays in Mexico, the United States, London, Paris, and Peru.
She is a writer, actress, director, and producer in film and theater. Some of her productions have been recognized at festivals around the world. She currently lives in the United States, where she works on projects for Girandova Producciones and is a Theatre coach and professor at the University of Texas.
